Stonefly Dries
Stonefly dries imitate one of the most dramatic surface events in trout fishing. Salmonflies (Pteronarcys californica) and Golden Stones (Hesperoperla pacifica, Acroneuria) bring big trout to the top with reckless confidence. These insects crawl out to hatch, fall or flutter back onto the water, and often struggle on the surface—creating the perfect target for aggressive eats.
