The G. Loomis NRX+ Spey is a high-performance two-handed rod built to deliver power, line speed, and stable loops without sacrificing the feel and finesse that make Spey casting so rewarding. Its fast action and advanced compound taper provide the efficiency needed to handle changing winds, complex currents, heavy shooting heads, and the wide range of conditions encountered while chasing steelhead and salmon.
G. Loomis’ Dynamic Recovery Technology combines a high-modulus graphite matrix, advanced resin system, and Multi-Taper Design to improve loading efficiency and recovery. The result is a larger casting sweet spot with excellent feedback throughout the casting stroke. The rod loads smoothly, recovers quickly, and efficiently transfers energy into the line for tight loops, long casts, and greater control at distance.
Premium components complement the NRX+ blank, including hard chrome snake guides, Titanium SiC stripping guides, AAA-grade cork upper and lower grips, and a custom aluminum reel seat. Each rod includes an aluminum rod tube and cloth bag and is handcrafted in Woodland, Washington.
