How to Fish Tungsten Flies

Tungsten flies are designed to sink quickly and reach feeding trout faster than standard beadhead patterns. They are especially effective in deep runs, fast current, and technical nymphing situations where depth matters most.

  • Use tungsten flies to get down quickly in faster or deeper water
  • Fish them under an indicator or with euro nymphing techniques
  • Adjust depth and weight until you are consistently near the bottom
