Lazy Rivers and Urban Steelhead
General Info: Ohio boasts a nice run of steelhead through some of the most urban areas that they can be found. There are also plenty of streams and lakes that are regularly stocked with Rainbow trout.
While it has excellent steelhead fishing and decent trout fishing, largemouth bass fishing is probably the best fishery in the state that is accessible by the average local angler.

Clear Fork, Mohican River, OH
This river is the main tributary to the Mohican River and is located mostly within a state park, giving anglers easy access and undeveloped riverbanks, adding to the serenity of the area.
A beautiful, meandering trout stream. Low gradient, knee-deep, gravel substrate. This fishery is stocked regularly with harvestable sized rainbow trout. The river maintains good temperatures and is a fun, productive place to trout fish in an area where trout are hard to find.
Mad River, OH
This river boasts the only year-round coldwater fishery in Ohio. There are many spring creek that feed this river, keeping it cool even in the summer.
This river is stocked often, but still has some challenging conditions as, at times, it can be as frustratingly difficult as any spooky spring creek in the western US.
