RIO Webster Shrouser – Shrimp & Crab Flats Fly

The RIO Webster Shrouser is a refined evolution of the classic Crouser, purpose-built for tropical flats species that demand subtle presentations. Developed through years of custom tying for traveling anglers, the Shrouser delivers the same fish-catching profile as the original—but in a smaller, lighter, and jig-style format ideal for spooky bonefish and permit.

Tied on a jig-style hook, the Shrouser rides point-up for cleaner landings and fewer hang-ups while maintaining a soft entry that won’t blow fish out in shallow water. Added shrimp and crab eyes and a subtle Ice Dub hot spot enhance the fly’s lifelike movement and visual trigger, giving it a more realistic shrimpy profile than the standard Crouser.
