Description
  • Thorax style flies feature a single wing, and more hackling.
  • Often fished with a 'V' cut in the bottom hackle to allow it ride lower.
  • Proponents of thorax style flies say they are more realistic and fish sip them.
  • This allows for lighter tippets to be used for more realistic presentation.
  • Cut all the bottom hackle off and fish like a spinner or emerger
  • When you see tiny 'sailboats' on the water this is your go to.
