Orvis PRO BOA Wading Boots – Precision Fit. Maximum Traction.
A perfect fit means more miles on the river, and the Orvis PRO BOA Wading Boot is built for anglers who cover serious water. Featuring the BOA® Fit System, this advanced boot delivers quick, precise tension adjustment for a secure, even fit that eliminates pressure points and keeps you comfortable from the first step to the last cast.
Developed in collaboration with Michelin®, the PRO Boot features the innovative Michelin Outdoor Extreme outsole, engineered specifically for fly fishing. This industry-first rubber compound delivers exceptional grip on wet rocks and slippery riverbeds, offering 25% better abrasion resistance and up to 43% improved wet traction compared to traditional wading boot rubber. The outsole’s tire-inspired geometry provides a wider footprint for stability, increased surface contact, and a lug pattern that reduces shock while improving pressure distribution.
Underfoot, a dual-layer midsole with a co-molded ESS plate enhances torsional stability and improves stud retention for anglers who add optional traction studs. Inside the boot, a 3D-molded OrthoLite® X25 insole provides superior cushioning and arch support designed for high-impact environments.
Durability is built into every detail. The cast PU upper construction eliminates seams in high-wear areas, dramatically increasing longevity while creating a supportive cage structure without added bulk. A quick-drying Clarino® microfiber upper delivers excellent strength-to-weight performance, while scratch rubber reinforcements at the toe and heel provide added protection against abrasion.
The higher-cut design adds ankle support for uneven terrain, and a large heel pull makes getting the boots on and off quick and easy. Altogether, the PRO BOA Wading Boot represents one of the most technically advanced wading boots available—built for anglers who demand durability, traction, and comfort across miles of river.
