Introducing the Cascade—the newest addition to the Big Y Fly Co rod lineup and our purpose-built 10-foot 3-weight Euro nymphing rod.

The Cascade has a smooth, medium-fast action that feels comfortable from the first cast. We call it our “Mama Bear” rod: not too fast, not too slow—just right. Its length provides the reach and line control needed for tight-line presentations, while the responsive tip delivers excellent sensitivity and helps protect light tippet. Added power through the lower sections provides confident hook sets and control when a larger fish takes off.

This rod has been in development since we discontinued the original Big Y Nano. It is built on the same platform anglers loved, including the revolutionary nano-silica resin technology that made the original so light and responsive. The Cascade advances that design with next-generation nano resins, lighter components, increased power, and reduced overall weight.

The result is a light, balanced, and highly capable Euro nymphing rod that provides the sensitivity needed to detect subtle takes without feeling underpowered when it matters most.
