Description

The Orvis Hydros II Euro Reel takes the proven Hydros platform and adapts it specifically for modern Euro nymphing. A full-cage frame, tighter tolerances, and slightly increased weight address the unique demands of thin Euro lines and the longer 10- and 11-foot rods commonly used for tight-line techniques.

The fully caged design prevents thin running lines and monofilament from slipping between the spool and frame, while the additional reel weight helps counterbalance longer rods for a more comfortable, controlled setup.

At the heart of the reel is the proven Hydros sealed disc drag, featuring stacked carbon and stainless steel washers with virtually zero startup inertia. The smooth low-end adjustment helps protect light tippets, while plenty of stopping power remains available when a larger trout gets into heavy current.
