Mouse Fly Pattern (TMC 8089 + Weedguard)

Big trout don’t sip. They hunt.

Our Mouse Fly Pattern is a topwater predator magnet built for explosive eats and heart-stopping takes. It’s spun with deer hair for a buoyant, natural profile that pushes water, throws a clean wake, and stays floating even after getting mauled.

Tied on the legendary TMC 8089, this fly has the huge gap and strength needed for big fish and hard takes — from river browns to toothy pike. A built-in weedguard helps keep it fishing clean around banks, grass, wood, and structure where the biggest predators live.

Whether you’re skating it at night, twitching it under cutbanks, or waking it across glassy back-eddies, this fly is the definition of “hold on.”

Deadly for:

• Brown trout
• Rainbow trout
• Bass
• Pike
• Alaska trout and char

Also available in Pink — a killer color option for silver (coho) and pink (humpy) salmon when you want a little extra visibility and attitude.

Why you’ll love it:

• Deer hair body = buoyant, durable, and pushes water
• TMC 8089 hook = strong with a big bite
• Weedguard for fishing tight to cover
• Topwater eats you’ll never forget
