The Autumn Gold is a Pacific Northwest classic that has earned a reputation as a dependable producer of both salmon and steelhead. Its bright gold body, orange hackle, and clean white wing create a highly visible silhouette that excels in late summer and fall when fish are aggressive but not always willing to commit to larger, flashier patterns. Whether swung on a floating line through classic summer-run water or fished on a sink tip for fresh fall fish, the Autumn Gold remains a proven searching pattern. Simple, durable, and effective, it's a fly that belongs in every steelheader's box.
