  • Scuds are perhaps one of the most common, and simplest of all the insects that fly fisherman try to imitate. They hatch, swim, breed, and die, more or less. They look basically the same from the time they hatch till the time they die. Making imitation and "matching the hatch” incredibly easy.
  • Middle Bead Scud is exactly as the name sounds (again going simplistic here) a scud with the bead located in the middle of the body.
  • The benefit of this is it puts the bead at the highest part of the hook. This allows the fly to sink and be stripped in more naturally.
  • A great and highly effective lake pattern.
