  • This black variation of the Avatar Fly is a buggy midge pattern.
  • Somewhat like an RS2 (also invented by Rim Chung) it has had the majority of its success in the Midwest.
  • However, it is slowly showing up in more boxes throughout the US.
  • Fish on the surface, dead drift with some shot, or let sit in the subsurface; all have been known to be effective.
  • This fly has also had some success when ants and small beetles are present.
