Anatomical Green Drake Beadhead

A realistic, fishy take on one of the most important mayflies of the year. This pattern is built to imitate the bulk, segmentation, and movement of a natural green drake nymph, with an anatomical profile that stands out when trout are keyed in on the real thing.

The added beadhead gets it down quickly and keeps it in the strike zone—ideal for fishing deeper runs, seams, and pocket water during pre-hatch and active drake periods.

When green drakes are around, fish expect a big meal. This fly delivers.

• Realistic anatomical profile with segmented body

• Beadhead for fast sink and consistent depth control

• Ideal for green drake hatches and pre-hatch nymphing
• Imitates both Western and Eastern Green Drakes effectively (though designed for western drakes)
• Effective in larger rivers and faster water

• A go-to option when targeting quality fish during mayfly events
