Parachute Pheasant Tail

A low-profile twist on one of the most reliable nymph patterns ever tied, the Parachute Pheasant Tail bridges the gap between subsurface realism and dry fly visibility. With its slim pheasant tail body and upright parachute post, this fly sits right in the film—perfect for picky trout feeding just below or in the surface.

• Deadly profile – ideal during mayfly hatches when fish key on vulnerable insects
• High-visibility parachute post – easy to track in broken water and low light
• Natural pheasant tail body – proven fish-catching material that suggests a wide range of mayflies
• Versatile presentation – fish it as a dry, emerger, or in a dry-dropper setup
• Rides low in the film – exactly where selective trout are looking

When trout refuse high-floating dries but are still feeding, this is the pattern that gets eats.
